Is Drywall Repair Expensive?   

As of December, 2020, drywall costs can range anywhere between $290-$650 with an low-end cost range of $80-$150 and a high end cost range of $750-900.  Minor repairs can cost the average homeowner around $80, whereas major repairs can hike that bill closer to $900 for multiple room repairs.

Factors that affect the cost are location, and type of damage. For example, water damage, holes and cracks require a different level of materials and service. The number of rooms that need repair will also affect the bottom line cost of drywalling services. However, if you pay your contractor for only one trip fee but have multiple repairs, you'll save more money than if you had the contractor come our multiple times, thus incurring more trip fees. You must also consider the type of drywall required. Does your room require fire-rated or fire-resistant drywall? If so, it can be more costly than replacing the traditional gypsum or paper drywall.
